Turbine is an employee-owned technology consultancy delivering senior expertise in software engineering, cloud, data, and AI.

10. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, in Google's "consent mode". The measurement script loads on every visit, but what it is allowed to do depends on your choice in our consent banner.

  • If you accept: analytics cookies are set, and your visits can be recognised as belonging to the same returning browser.
  • If you decline or have not yet chosen: no analytics cookies are set and no identifier is stored on your device. A cookieless signal is still sent to Google so we can count aggregate traffic. It cannot be used to recognise you across visits or across sites.
  • Cookies set: _ga and _ga_<container-id>, used to distinguish returning visitors. Both expire after 2 years.
  • Recipient: Google Ireland Limited, with processing by Google LLC (United States).
  • Transfers outside the EU/EEA: Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which is the adequacy decision we rely on for these transfers.
  • Retention: event and user data are retained for 14 months, after which Google deletes them.
  • What we do not do: we do not use Google Signals, we do not enable advertising personalisation, and we do not link this property to any Google advertising product. Advertising consent signals are always sent as denied.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies and site data in your browser, which brings the consent banner back. You may also block cookies through your browser settings.
